Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) announced that its innovative liquid cooled battery energy storage system (BESS) solution based on Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP), performs well under UL 9540A. UL 9540A is a well-recognized test method which evaluates fire safety risk when battery cell thermal runaway takes place. Our triple fire protection system, combined with LFP battery technology, provides multiple safety layers including early detection, suppression, and containment to prevent thermal runaway propagation.

Consequently, ensuring absolute safety during the usage and maintenance primarily involves focusing on the sealing design of the liquid cooling system. Liquid cooling systems require periodic inspection of coolant levels, filter replacement, and seal integrity checks.
